While the official Google blog offers a generic entry on the events of September 11, 2001. The Google Earth Blog offers entries on the events in Google Earth:

• The first entry focuses on the past, with 3D modles and historical imagery, including how the attack unfolded
• The second entry focuses on the present, the site, but also the memorial
• Finally, the last entry focuses on the future, what the planned buildings looks like, including the 'Transportation Hub'
