  1. i hope to get start in this field

  2. I'm very fortunate to have found a GIS job with this municipality.  I've used GIS for 12 years in a police analysis field but most of that has not prepared me for this job in Public Services Engineering!  I've seen another facet of GIS I didn't know existed and I'm now absolutely positive there are many more to discover!  The person I replaced had already begun a mobile project for the surveyors, and electrical, sewer, water crews.  It is now in my hands to update, finish, and find new technology to make it work.  The boss wanted this like….yesterday!  This municipality is small and without any great funding.  That makes the project a real do-it-yourselfer.  I would love to have a copy of Eric's book to help me reach the goals set for this particular project and to be able to tie the data back into the city's gis database.  Thank you for the opportunity to win this!

  3. I am a GIS developer and this book will help me in understanding a lot about web GIS development. I have used ESRI web API's and SERVER products but i am new to stand alone application development for desktop and web.

    • I am very much passionate about GIS. I am a beginner of learning GIS. I have  a plan to make web application based on GIS. As a student of Geography and Environment, every time I feel the necessity of map in our life. My interest is to make a web or mobile application through which I can share the information easily to common people. Several time I feel that people becomes misguided when they go to a new place specially in our country, Bangladesh. Though google has do a lot in case of finding location. But they do in a macro scale. I want to do it in my local scale where I can input every information about location so that people can never be misguided. It is one of my dream project. So this book can help me a lot. I can manage any Java script programming book but that kind of integrated book with GIS is really fantastic.
By doing this I can reach the geographic information to common  people easily.

  4. We are having a site license with 3000 licenses for ArcGis 10.2  and this book will be a useful document for all those involved in GIS.  Even the students may have an opening for their progress in Web GIS as well as in the use of  some applications

  5. I'd like to evaluate this book for possible inclusion into our GIS curriculum here at CSU Monterey Bay.

  6. I have been working on several mapping applications such as mapserver, geoserver, mapguide and others. I find it very intersting virtually covering all aspects of web-mapping… geoprocessing is one where there is an attempt to give common users the powers of desktop capabilities… ArcGIS has been the torch bearer in desktop GIS and its SDE is also the leader… reverse geocode shall also empower the users to uleash the huge database of third party apps…

As I have been teaching my students about the scope of webgis… this book promises me a good learning and dissemination of this fast emerging field..

    well done…
