Integrating with GIS and GPS technologies, SuperSurv 3.1 allows field surveyors to collect spatial data conveniently. Not only supporting common vector layer formats like GEO and SHP, SuperSurv 3.1 can also employ local cached map (SGT file) or SuperGIS Server services as base map to improve survey efficiency.

 

SuperSurv 3.1 features newly added feature rotation function and snapping settings. The feature rotation function can modify feature orientation and position by selecting a line feature or a polygon feature on the map and setting anchor point. In addition, users can snap a vertex to another precisely according to the snapping tolerance set by users during the editing.

 

SuperSurv 3.1 supports multi-language interfaces, including traditional Chinese, English and French. The Italian interface will be added in the near future.

Google Geonews: Major Maps Update in Europe, Google Maps Android API Update, NASA’s Black Marble, and more

Here's the recent Google-related geonews.

From official sources:

  • Google released updated maps for 10 countries and regions in Europe: "Andorra, Bulgaria, Estonia, Gibraltar, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain". Data comes from authoritative sources part of the Ground Truth project (screenshot below)
  • Google released a major update to the Google Maps Android API: it "features vector-based maps that load quickly and enables users to easily navigate 2D and 3D views, and tilt and rotate the map with simple gestures"
